Privacy notice

Last updated 2 November 2026

For Court’s Sake helps badminton clubs run their club nights. This notice explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, email hello@forcourtsake.com.

Who we are

For Court’s Sake is responsible for the information described here. You can contact us at hello@forcourtsake.com.

What we collect

WhoWhat
OrganisersYour name, email address and password (stored scrambled, so we can’t read it), the clubs you run, and whether you’ve asked to receive news and updates.
PlayersThe name an organiser adds to the club list or that you type in as a guest, a playing rating set by the organiser, and what happens on club nights: who checked in, waiting times, matches, partners, scores and results. Players don’t need an account and we don’t ask for their email.
Phones and browsersWhen you pick your name for a club night, your phone stores a random code so it remembers you for that night. Organisers’ browsers store their sign-in. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
Website visitsOn forcourtsake.com we count visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It doesn’t use cookies or follow you across other sites. It records the page you viewed, the site that sent you, your country and your type of device, and doesn’t keep anything that identifies you. The app itself isn’t tracked.
ChangesA log of actions on each club night, such as “match started” or “result edited”, with the organiser’s or player’s name, so clubs can sort out mistakes.

Why we use it

We never sell your information or use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where information leaves the UK, it is protected by the safeguards those companies provide under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep club information for as long as the club uses the service, so season stats and history keep working. Organisers can remove players from their club list at any time. If you close your account, or ask us to delete your club, we delete its information within 30 days. Backups are overwritten shortly after.

Junior players

Some clubs run junior sessions. We only store the name the organiser enters and what happens on court, never contact details. Organisers should use first names or initials for junior players, in line with their club’s safeguarding policy.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. If you agreed to receive news, you can withdraw that at any time. Email hello@forcourtsake.com and we’ll reply within one month. If you’re a player, you can also ask your club organiser.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we’ll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we’ll also email organisers.
